About Urban Assessments

Urban Assessments - Support For People With ADHD & Autism

Urban Assessments provide expert support for children, young people, and adults who may be experiencing ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Whether you’re a parent worried about your child, or an adult wondering if you may have ADHD or autism yourself, our team of qualified doctors is here to help.

We understand the frustration and lack of clarity many people face when trying to seek help. That’s why we’ve created an ethical, one-stop service that guides you from assessment through to treatment and ongoing support.

With Urban Assessments you are guaranteed the following services:

  • Qualified Doctors – Our team specialises in ADHD and ASD assessments, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • A Clear Pathway – From your first assessment through to prescriptions and follow-up care, we simplify the process.
  • Support at Every Step – We don’t just diagnose, we support you or your child on the journey to feeling better.
  • Faster Access – Avoid years of waiting on NHS lists by accessing timely, private assessments.

Nobody should have to struggle alone. Whether it’s helping your child achieve their potential or enabling you to feel more in control of daily life, our mission is to provide compassionate, professional care that makes a real difference.

The Challenge with NHS Waiting Times

It’s not uncommon for children to wait several years for an ADHD assessment via the NHS. Even if you choose a private assessment, patients often find themselves placed back into the NHS system—meaning another wait for the medication they need.

Many people don’t realise that GPs cannot prescribe ADHD medication, even for private patients. This can lead to confusion, frustration, and delays in treatment.

Right to Choose & AQP Pathways

In England, you may be entitled to more control over your healthcare through the following NHS-funded options:

  • Right to Choose (RTC): This pathway allows patients to select their provider for certain NHS services, including ADHD and ASD assessments. If waiting times exceed the NHS maximum, you can request a transfer to an alternative provider.
  • Any Qualified Provider (AQP): This referral system gives patients a choice of approved providers for certain healthcare services. It empowers you to select the provider that best meets your needs.

The Urban Assessments team of doctors and clinicians are proud to work within these frameworks where applicable, helping you access the care you need.
